Port Jervis, NY, Halloween Parade a hit, as always!

The City of Port Jervis 76th Halloween Parade took place on a beautiful fall October 26, 2024 day! Dozens and dozens of people (and additional friendly, leashed dogs) lined up in front of City Hall, where the parade kicked off at 3:30 p.m. It moved along Port Jervis' downtown streets, up Pike Street, along East Main and Farnum Streets to the historic Farnum Place for refreshments, music, and prizes.

Sponsored by PJ Recreation Department, PJ Elks Lodge, and Shoprite, the event invited everyone (including pets) to dress in their favorite Halloween costume and enjoy the day, which they clearly did. The costumes were so creative, diverse, and fun!

Donuts, apple juice, candy, and prizes were given out at Farnum Place after the parade.

(There were other events to enjoy that day, as well. A Downtown Spooktacular included candy given out by store owners and others, and a Trunk or Treated featured lots of vehicles at Riverside Park with participants in various themed costumes and decorations to dispense more goodies to visiting Trick-or-Treaters!)

GREAT JOB, everyone! What a great hometown fun day!
